This year we decided to try this little place out versus staying where we did last year. It’s a six room inn, right on the water at Pillar Point Harbor in Princeton-by-the-Sea.
It is a bit pricey, but is worth every penny. I can honestly say this is the first place away from home where we slept well. The beds are Tempurpedic, which we’ve never slept in before. I dare say we’re getting better sleep in this bed than in our own at home. Haha. Even with the lighthouse “booping” every ten seconds, it’s been relaxing. After a while it’s easy to tune it out, and with the sliding door closed, it’s actually pretty muffled.
Here are some pictures taken from the back patio:
And here is a 65 second video I took standing on the patio, to capture the sounds mainly, but also to show how peaceful it is here:
I will miss this place. The weather when we first arrived was extremely foggy, but it’s been relatively clear the last couple of days. It’s been around 60 degrees for the most part, which, compared to where we live, is very nice. When we left it was probably just above 100 degrees and humid (monsoon season). When we get back, the high is supposed to be 109. Yuck.
But, first, to Disneyland. We head there tomorrow.
